AI visibility for recruitment agencies

Candidates and clients now ask ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Google's AI answers which recruitment agency to use. AI visibility, also called generative engine optimisation (GEO), is making sure those answers can find your agency and describe it correctly.

The question goes to an AI, not only to a search engine

A candidate looking for warehouse shifts near home, or an operations manager who needs temporary drivers, can type the question into an AI assistant and get a short written answer that names a few agencies. That answer works like a shortlist: an agency it does not mention is not in the running for that person.

The assistant builds its answer from what it can read about you: your own website, your profiles on other sites, and what other people write about you. If that information is thin, out of date or contradicts itself, the AI may leave you out, or describe you wrongly.

AI visibility is the work of making that information clear, consistent and easy for an AI to read. It sits alongside ordinary search engine optimisation, not instead of it.

What makes an agency appear

None of this is a trick. It is the information a good candidate or client would want anyway, set out so that a machine can read it too.

  • Clear facts about who you are

Your agency’s name, where you are, the sectors and roles you place, the areas you cover and how to contact you, stated plainly on your own site and repeated in structured data: a small block of machine-readable facts that search engines and AI systems read.

  • The same facts everywhere

Your website, Google Business Profile, LinkedIn page and job board profiles should agree on your name, address, phone number and what you do. When they disagree, an AI is less sure which details are right, or whether they all belong to the same agency.

  • Pages that answer real questions

A page for each sector, type of role and location you actually work in, answering what people really ask: how quickly you can fill a temporary role, what checks you run before a first shift, what a candidate needs to bring. An AI can only repeat what your site actually says.

  • Reviews and mentions

What candidates and clients say about you in public reviews, and where other websites mention you, is part of what an AI reads. Ask the clients and candidates who are happy with you to say so where people look for agencies.

  • A site that AI crawlers can read

Words in the page itself, not only in images. Many AI crawlers do not run JavaScript, so text that appears only once a script has run may never be read. And a robots.txt file that welcomes the AI crawlers, such as GPTBot, ClaudeBot and PerplexityBot, instead of shutting them out.

This website is built to these rules: its facts are in structured data, it publishes an llms.txt summary for AI systems, and its robots.txt names and welcomes the AI crawlers.

An AI-visibility check, and the fixes

We are building an AI-visibility check for recruitment agencies. It will look at how your agency comes across when people ask AI assistants about agencies like yours, and at the website, profiles and pages behind those answers. You will get a plain list of what to fix, most important first.

If you want us to, we will then make the fixes on your site: the structured facts, the pages that answer real questions, and the crawler settings.

No agency, and no consultant, can decide what an AI says, so we will not promise that one will recommend you. What we can do is make sure the facts about your agency are clear, consistent and easy for an AI to find.
